A Decorated Westie Dog Statue
Created for the Town of West Springfield
Summer of 2010
This WESTIE DOG was Sponsored by Bertelli Liquors of West Springfield ~
The Westie is a Master Wine Steward ~ appropriate to the Sponsor's business ~
Beginning with the bare white statue ~
Wine labels were applied to Westie's chest to give the impression of Westie wearing a Vest ~
Westie's back and sides were painted with the Harvesting of a French grape farm ~ Workers are bringing their baskets of grapes up a hill to be processed ~ Westie's neck shows the farm buildings and a stand of Lombardy poplar trees with a perfect Blue sky on the back of Westie's neck & head ~
The Details were painted on ~ Face, Vest outline, Feet, Collar & Tie ~
The addition of a long chain with an elaborate key was the final, and most fitting, touch to Westie's conversion to a Master Wine Steward!
